How to Use Geofencing

‍

Option 1 — Organization-Wide Geofences

1. Go to the Map Page from your dashboard (showing all devices).
2. Click the Geofence tool.
3. Use the drawing tools to create a geofence over any area (e.g., your operating region or state).
4. Save the geofence — it will automatically apply to all devices in your account.
5. You’ll receive alerts any time an asset crosses that boundary.

Option 2 — Individual Device Geofences

1. Locate a specific vehicle using LocateLive.
2. In the left-hand menu, select the Geofence tab.
3. Click the “+” (Add) button to create a new geofence.
4. Either draw the boundary manually on the map or enter an address to automatically center the area.
5. Adjust the shape as needed and click Save.
6. View, edit, or delete existing geofences anytime under the same tab.
